About the Event

This miniature tour will feature works by George F. Handel, Henry Purcell, Antonio Vivaldi, Alessandro Scarlatti, Giovanni Viviani, and Francois Couperin. The IBC is dedicated to historical performance and keeping this area of the musical arts alive and thriving, in the performance world and the educational world. This tour will include masterclasses on ensemble formation and essential ensemble skills that will be inclusive and engaging (so bring your instruments 😎). The performances that will take place throughout the tour will be filled with information on the composers, instrumental history, historical context and relevance, audience inclusivity, overall educational enrichment for individuals from beginners to professionals and baroque enthusiasts, and of course auditory enjoyment 😉

The venues in which the tour will be taking place, at the moment, are as follows and the list will continue to be updated:

• Ft. Lewis College - Durango, CO (April 5th - 6th, 2022 all day)

• St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church - Denver, CO (April 7th, 2022 at 7:00 PM)

• Children’s Music enrichment class and evening performance in Evergreen, CO (TBA sometime between 04/08/2022 and 04/09/2022)

• University of Kentucky - Lexington, KY (April 11th - 12th, 2022 all day)

At the University of Kentucky, we will be the featured artist for the Baroque Trumpet Competition and Baroque Festival that will be taking place over the course of the two days listed. Our trumpeter, Timothy Dzida, will also be a judge for the trumpet competition. Click here for details regarding the North American Baroque Trumpet Competition. We will also be holding a new ensemble formation and ensemble skills masterclass here.

As you may know by now, the IBC is a donation-based ensemble, because we believe that historical performance is special and important for all to experience, especially in the uniqueness of our setting, and we all hold music education very highly and make sure that all of our performances are informative and inclusive for all. This being said, we ask that you make a donation to us through the donation links located throughout our website, and know that you are not only donating and investing in us and our performances, but you are also investing in music education on all levels and the future opportunities for people who can and cannot afford to participate and experience this 📚📖

We hope that you are able to join us on our Screen to Stage tour this coming April, we are certainly excited to see you, and we thank you for your continued support always 👍
